It takes a village.
No one should birth alone, and no doula should work alone either.
These are the communities I belong to: the people I learn from, lean on, and build with. When you work with me, you get a little bit of all of them.
Looking for culturally rooted care, en español?
Casa de Parteras is a community for Latinx birth workers and the families looking for us. It brings together tradition and education, and it makes culturally rooted care easier to find, in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
Why I joined:
I grew up with the idea that birth and the weeks after it belong to a whole circle of women: the aunt who brings caldo, the grandmother who tells you to rest, the neighbour who holds the baby so you can shower. Casa de Parteras keeps that wisdom alive, and it's where I get to share it.
What it means for you:
If Spanish is your heart language, or you want your birth and postpartum to honour where your family comes from, you don't have to explain yourself to me. Also: I teach there.
Join me at Casa de Parteras this fall:
Estaciones de tu Ciclo: Oct 8th, noon-1:00pm
Looking for birth or postpartum support in Muskoka?
A community of doulas across Ontario (and beyond) who support families through fertility, birth, postpartum, loss, and end of life, matched to what each family needs. Why I'm here: Because collaboration beats competition. I believe families are better served when doulas know, trust, and refer to each other.

Because collaboration beats competition. I believe families are better served when doulas know, trust, and refer to each other.
What it means for you:
I offer birth and postpartum support in Muskoka through the Collective. If I'm not the right fit, or I'm booked, I can connect you with someone who is. You won't be left without support.
Wondering if I'm properly trained?
One of the oldest and best-known doula training and certification organizations in the world.
Why I joined:
I wanted to be able to work as a doula across America, and this certification allows me to do that. This is where my training standards come from, and it holds me to a clear scope and code of ethics.
What it means for you:
You can find out more of what I do, and what I don't do. I give emotional, physical, and practical support, never medical advice.
