What would it feel like to be supported by me as your doula?
After the baby arrives, the days can feel like a blur of feeding, diapers, and very little sleep. I'll come to your home and take care of the everyday things so you have room to rest and settle in.
Depending on the day, I might:
Tidy the kitchen, sweep, and take care of laundry
Heat up food for you and make sure you're eating
Sit with you and chat about how you're doing, or listen while you talk through the birth
Hold the baby while you have a shower, take a nap, or get some work done
Check in with you weekly at first, then monthly
Some days may look like more conversation, and others may look like quiet help around the house. We'll follow what you need at that time.
From the moment you book, you'll have text and call access to me. I aim to reply within 24hrs unless I am at another birth.
Every family and every postpartum season is different, so we'll shape our time together around you.
Includes: In-home postpartum support, text and call access, weekly then monthly check-ins
FAQ
-
I'm there to support you and your family in the early weeks at home. That usually means practical help (kitchen, laundry, meals), time to rest, and someone to talk with. I'm non-medical, so I don't give medical advice or diagnose. I can point you to the right resources when you need them.
-
Ideally during pregnancy, so we can meet and get to know each other before the baby arrives. You can also book after the birth. Just reach out and we'll see what works.
-
It depends on your family, your recovery, and how much help you have at home. In your free consult, we'll talk about what you're hoping for, and we can adjust as we go.
-
Yes. Overnight care can be included in the package, it is at a higher rate of $40 CAD an hour, with a minimum of 5 hours for booking.
-
I have taken two Lactation Doula trainings, so within my scope, I can. I can offer emotional support and encouragement, and I can be there while you feed. I'm not a lactation consultant, so for latch, supply, or feeding problems I'll refer you to a professional.
-
I don't provide childcare while you're out of the home.
-
I'll listen without judgment and check in on how you're doing. If I'm concerned, I'll encourage you to reach out to your care provider or a mental health professional. I'm not a substitute for medical or mental health care.

Yes. From the moment you book, you have text and call access to me. I aim to reply within 24hrs unless I am attending a birth.
-
Yes. As a doula to stay within my scope I would be supporting the entire family, so at least one parent with baby should be home while I am visiting. Ideally, I do recommend having both partners when possible.

I serve Huntsville, Bracebridge, and the surrounding Muskoka communities. There are extra travel fees when surpassing the 50km mark from Huntsville, ON.
-
You would e-transfer me a percentage a downpayment for the service you would like to book, then I would send you a receipt. As soon as that comes through you would have access to my client portal. The second payment is due my the halfway mark of the service being provided.
-
Up to 48hrs a cancelation won’t be charged. I understand that sometimes things happen. And you would be able to reschedule directly with the client portal you would have access too as my client.
-
That shouldn’t be common. I would only cancel if I was sick (to prevent sharing germs) and/or if I was heading to a birth, in which case, either one, would give you access to my Backup Doula, who would be taking my place unless otherwise agreed upon.
