What would it feel like to be supported by me as your doula in labour?
I'll come to you once you call me in labour. [If I'm ever unable to attend, my backup doula, Emily, will be there.]
I'll help you find comfort, with position changes, counter-pressure, and hip squeezes, working with what feels right for you.
I'll support your partner too, by helping them know how they can support you, and by encouraging them to rest and eat.
I'll encourage you to drink and eat as you're able, through labour.
I'll talk through your options with you when asked questions by the provider/nurses, including what to expect with an epidural or a C-section, so you can make your own decisions.
I'll support you in speaking for yourself with your care team. I don't make decisions for you.
I’ll stay with you until baby is earth side, and join you in the first four afters after.
